Product Description Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura have passed the final test to become junior ninja, and now they want a tougher assignment than daycare. But their new role as bodyguards for the cranky bridge-builder Tazuna, who has super-powerful enemies that include the most lethal of the Mist Ninjas, may be more than they bargained for.

Review of Naruto, Vol. 2 Purchase July 4, 2010 Stephanie Putman I appreciate Amazon for making this pruchase available to me because if it weren't for Amazon.com and the seller of this item I wouldn't have been able to purchase this item I couldn't find anywhere else for my sons birthday, and this book is very important to him even though it is considered used. Thank you to Amazon.com and the seller.
Trial by Fire June 2, 2009 J. Sherman (New York, USA) Vol. 2 of "Naruto" kicks off the manga's first major story arc, as our heroes protect a bridgebuilder from deadly elite ninja. This volume introduces Zabuza "the Demon," his protégé Haku, and pessimistic little Inari, who set the stage for Naruto's first real mission. The anime still follows the manga like holy writ, but business really picks up for our heroes once they get through Kakashi's final ninja test. And Masashi Kishimoto's brief insight into the making of "Naruto" should be a nugget of delight for fans. Now if Kishimoto added some 4-panel bonus manga down the road, then the comic would be perfect.
This comic is rated T for Teen: Graphic Violence.
Volume #2 = heavy on the action May 18, 2009 Sibelius (Palo Alto, CA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Volume #2 of the Naruto manga series provides plenty of action. In fact, perhaps too much action. The narrative is actually quite bare bones, progressing the plot along in small bites in between massive chapters of action sequences.
While I am recognizing some of the appeal of this franchise, I'm still finding the action sequences difficult to follow at times. Perhaps I should give the animated versions a try next.
I'm Surprised I Didn't Buy This Manga Earlier March 30, 2009 J. Wactor (Tucson, AZ) The art and layout only gets better the further you advance in this series. I enjoy these beginning volumes far more than I did watching them. Can't put it down! This storyline involving Zabuza is better than I remembered! Can't wait to read Volume 3!
This was Great! :D December 31, 2008 D. Abate (Side Lake, MN) I havnt really read the whole thing yet but i really like it so far, the picture quality is amazing and i love all the detail in the pictures! The dialogue was really accurate to the television episode too :D
