Product Description
Naruto is a ninja-in-training with a need for attention, a knack for mischief, and sealed within him, a strange, formidable power. His antics amuse his instructor Kakashi and irritate his teammates, intense Sasuki and witty Sakura, but Naruto is serious about becoming the greatest ninja in the village of Konohagakure! There comes a time in every ninja's training when he must put aside his morals and face the truth: ninjas are tools for killing. For Naruto, seeing Sasuke dead, that time is now. Rage awakens the nine-tailed fox spirit within Naruto, giving him the strength to overcome Haku - but can he bring himself to finish the job? As the battle for the Land of the Waves comes to a tragic ending, our heroes return to the village of Konohagakure in time for the chunin (journeyman ninja) exams. But junior ninjas from around the world have gathered to take the exam, bringing their own strange ninjutsu and mysterious goals.

5 out of 5 stars anime comic   February 14, 2010
Brenda (Phoenix, AZ)
My girls went through a stage where they LOVED anime comic books. They really liked this series.

4 out of 5 stars School of Hard Knocks   October 6, 2009
J. Sherman (New York, USA)
In Vol. 4 of "Naruto," readers witness the destructive power of the Nine-Tailed Fox as Naruto continues to battle Zabuza and Haku. As Squad 7's adventure in the Land of Waves draws to a close, our heroes return home and sign up for the Chunin (journeyman ninja) selection exam to climb up the ranks. Unfortunately, so does every other ninja in the land. This is the first volume to feature Taijutsu expert Rock Lee, fearsome Sand Ninja Gaara, and other notable characters as seen in the anime show, which left out some rather interesting moments featured here. Creator Masashi Kishimoto also throws in some rejected manga concepts he dreamt up in his quest for fame and some fortune.

This manga is rated T for Teen: Graphic Violence.

5 out of 5 stars The Real Power of the Nine-Tails Demon   April 1, 2009
J. Wactor (Tucson, AZ)
Get ready to get pumped full of adrenaline. Naruto's power is unleashed when everything is on the line, taking this story to the next level! The battle becomes more intense when friends and foes defend those they love most. This volume also precludes the next intense storyline, the Chunin exams! This volume will not disappoint, prepare yourself!
