Amazon.com The first of three theatrical features, Naruto Shippuden--the Movie (2007) provides a visually striking, action-packed introduction to the second series of adventures of ninja-in-training Naruto Uzumaki. Sinister ninja use black magic medical jutsu to raise the spirit of the long-imprisoned demon Moryo. If Moryo's body is also resurrected, he will establish a Thousand Year Kingdom that will mean the end of life on Earth as humans know it. Only Shion, the priestess of the Land of Ogres, can stop Moryo by keeping his body sealed within a hidden temple. A special squad from the Village Hidden in the Leaves--Neji, Sakura, Rock Lee, and Naruto--is assigned to protect Shion on her journey there. Director Hajime Kamegaki uses CG to create a terracotta army copied from the celebrated figures from Emperor Qin Shi Huang's tomb in Xian. The scenes of marching clay automatons, impervious to ordinary weapons, pack a real punch, although they don't always blend with the drawn characters. Kamegaki balances these dire threats with plenty of physical comedy: Naruto boasts and blunders and stumbles; Rock Lee defeats his foe after eating a liquor-filled chocolate, re-creating his version of Jackie Chan's "drunken fist" technique in the "Chase for Sasuke" story arc. For Naruto fans, the movie is a must-have. (Rated Teen+ Older Teen, but suitable for ages 12 and older: violence, grotesque imagery, brief nudity, alcohol use) --Charles Solomon

My kids loved it! April 2, 2010 Dolores Alvarez I recently bought Naruto Shippuden- The Movie for my kids and they loved it! There was plenty of action for them and a couple funny moments plus at the end some of their favorite characters show up to help Naruto. You have to watch this movie if you're a big naruto fan. It's about naruto helping this girl {i forgot her name} but she recently had a vision if Naruto was going to live... or die during their mission.
Features Naruto, Sakura, Neji, Lee and the priestess. To know what happens in this adventure or what happens to naruto you have to watch the movie. YOU WILL ENJOY!
Worth a watch, but for fans only.... February 3, 2010 Michelle Lucraft (Canberra, Australia) I have seen all the Naruto feature films thus far, and this one rates well against the others. I find the short episode series much more engaging, thrilling, and entertaining though. The movies seem to drag a bit too long for me, without enough 'thrills at every corner' to keep me on the edge of my seat. I'd recommend the movie for Naruto fans, but of course if you are a fan then you will see it regardless of what I say!
Excellent Video January 21, 2010 A. K. Costanzo (New Jersey) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This was an excellent movie. If you like Naruto you will love this. He of course save the day at the end.
One note: VIZ translated a joke slightly incorrectly at the very end, after the credits. This video is in English it also includes English Subtitles. If you really want to know what all the shocked look on their faces are at the end. Turn on the English subtitles, and read the joke. It is funny.
I this review helps!

Naruto Rulez January 20, 2010 Gardner Roy Kirchner Jr. (near Boston, MA) all i have to say is this was a great movie! even though i wanted more fights, but besides that an awesome movie, i was hoping my fave character was in it which is Gaara but its all good so everyone please stop hating on this movie, i am sure the 2nd one will be even better!
A let down December 15, 2009 Brian C. Hayman I expected alot from this movie, probally too much, cause i love all things naruto, but i was reall let down. The characters just kind of complained back and forth to each other, the action was'nt that great, with the exception of rock lee's fight scene in it, which was pretty cool. I think i expected eveyone to have the 1 on 1 action scene the show use to have when they were younger, but overall the movie was just ok.
